Easy canyoning close to Saint-Lary (Pyrenees)

I invite you to this magnificent half-day canyoning in the Spanish side of the Aure valley, near Saint-Lary. 

A few kilometers from the Bielsa tunnel, after Saint-Lary, on the Spanish side of the mountains, we find this beautiful canyoning site. This canyon presents no difficulties, and it is therefore ideal for families with children. In fact, all the jumps are optional, and so is the use of ropes.

After a downhill walk of about 30 minutes, we will put our wetsuits on to enter the canyon. The first jumps are spectacular, and we can repeat them several times. The highest one is 8 meters!

Then we walk following the canyon, with small jumps and swimming sections in basins of clear water.

At the end of the gorge the sun reappears in the open landscape. We will take a break and have a snack. The end of the itinerary offers a walk in the waters of the Yaga river, some jumps and beautiful basins of clear water to cool off.

Finally, we reach a parking where we change clothes and drive back to the start parking.

It is an easy itinerary, ideal for an initiation and particularly fun for a group of friends or a family. Children from 6 years old can join.
