On this 12 day adventure, you will have the chance to not only trek along a fantastic trail, the Druk path, but you will also have the chance to explore and appreciate many other parts of Bhutan.
Beginning in Paro, we will take you from the airport to your hotel. After that, we will go to the capital city of Bhutan, Thimphu. In the capital, you will be given a lot of time to see the many highlights it offers, including the Tashichodzong and Simtokha Dzongs. You will also get to enjoy some great views of the Paro valley, while also engaging with the local people and learning about the culture.
On the sixth day of this adventure, the trek along the Druk path will begin. We will be walking for an average of 5 hours a day, covering an average of 8 kilometres a day. Thus allowing you to see a great deal of the wondrous Bhutanese landscape. The list of highlights along the Druk path are numerous, including a pair of glimmering lakes where you can enjoy some trout fishing, and perhaps even catch your own lunch or dinner! There are also several beautiful Dzongs, villages and forests along the path as well.
Throughout the trek, you will also have plenty of opportunity to gaze at the majestic peaks of the Himalayas from some amazing vantage points, like the Phume La pass (4,210m). Just a few of the peaks you will able to see include the highest mountain in Bhutan, Gangkhar Puensum (7,570m).
The Druk Path is a fantastic trek, but on this trip, we believe the combination of that path along with several additional days dedicated to exploring other parts of Bhutan is what makes this adventure so special. If you would like to be a part of that adventure, all you have to is send us a request.

Our guide Dr Flemming was excellent. He went above and beyond what we expected. We felt very safe and well trained to practice our climbing. Location was perfect and even though rain had been forecasted, they worked with us to make sure we could climb safely.
