On this full day via ferrata trip I would like to give you the opportunity to enjoy some glorious views of and from the Drachenwand mountain.

Located in the Austrian Alps, Drachenwald is a beautiful peak surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. You will get to see so much during this trip, including a fantastic view of the Mondsee.

This is a moderate level via ferrata trip. As a result, you should have some prior experience. However, you by no means have to be an expert. Hence making this trip highly accessible.

The adventure will begin in the morning and end in the late afternoon. This will give you the chance to enjoy an entire day of great views and exercise on the Drachenwald via ferrata. And by the end of the trip, you can return to your hotel and doubtlessly explore the rest of the gorgeous Alps at your leisure.

So if you want to enjoy the thrill of a great via ferrata, then come to the Drachenwald in Austria. I assure you the experience will be as unforgettable and exciting as it will be safe and secure. Mountain Guide

My passion for the mountains starts early in my life. At age 10 I summited Dachstein, the highest mountain in northern Austria the first time. But it took 6 more years to get me into climbing at age 16. Since then I haven't stopped climbing.

Since 2012 I have been self-employed as a climbing Guide. I became a fully-certified mountain guide in 2016.

I love how my guiding work has taken me to special places like Patagonia, Lyngen and Lofoten but also very much enjoy working in the Alps and climbing well-known peaks such as Dachstein, Großglockner, and Mount Blanc.

I will be happy to guide you on your next mountain holiday. I'll try to make it a satisfying and safe journey to the summit and back to the valley!

What people are saying about Stefan

Rolf

I very much enjoyed the trip. I had wished to do this trip for more than 20 years. Unfortunately I cought a virus a couple of days before we headed for the peak. To this very day I still dont feel ship shape, but still though, much better. Stefan is a fantastuc guide, and I felt safe all the way up and down. The weather forcast was bad for the 24 th of july in the afternoon, but became shitty 2-3 hours before forecasted with thunder and lightening in one go several times. We agreed to leave the peak after an approximately 10 minutes rest in order to reduce the impact of the increasingly bad weather. The decision was right, no discussion what so ever between the two of us. Stefan is utter professional. In stead we had a good rest at Herzug Johann hutte. We luckily made it safely all the way down, even though the via ferrata part to and fro the Herzug Johann hut was tiny bit slippery on the way down due to rain. I will most definitely recommend Stefan to other trekkers, and would be delighted to do another trip with him next year. Sincerely regards Rolf Norman Windheim Sørensen

Very nice trip to the summit. Great guide with a lot of knowledge, and fast to adjust since we had a bit of a misunderstanding. Fast and good response every day of the week. I would highly recommend going with Stefan.
