The Devil’s path is a famous hiking trail in the Catskill mountains of New York State. And for 3 days, we would like to guide you along approximately 40 kilometres of this massive and hugely popular trail. There is a great deal to see on the Devil’s path, including many of the Catskill’s peaks. And to heighten the adventure, you will even get to climb several of those peaks as well!
As one could presume based on the name, hiking on the Devil’s Path can be a challenge. This is a trip for the adventurous! The elevation gains during this 3 day trek can be substantial, reaching an approximate total of 4,500 metres. As a result, it is important that participants on this trip be in good physical condition. Prior hiking experience on similarly challenging routes is necessary as well.
Every day of this trip will provide you with a new set of incredible views, particularly from the summit of several of the peaks. A few examples of the famed path’s most noteworthy highlights include the following:
Mink Hollow
Sugarloaf mountain
Indian Head mountain
Twin mountain
Jimmy Dolan Notch
Plateau mountain
Danny’s lookout
Orchard point
Diamond Notch Falls
Geiger point
Buckridge Lookout
West Kill mountain (the highest peak on the Devil’s Path)
With such a staggering list of incredible spots, you know you’re in for a memorable adventure on this trip. We will also be camping on various spots throughout the hike as well. Hence giving you a chance to admire the area under the moon and starlight.
