Discover the incredible beauty of Devils Lake State Park in Wisconsin on this exciting rappelling day. Join us on an unforgettable experience exploring the iconic purple quartzite rock and feel the thrill of going down 20-70 feet walls.
Rappelling (sliding down a rope) is a fundamental skill for any climber, mountaineer or canyoneer. And what better place to do it than surrounded by stunning cliffs and impressive views? Devil’s Lake State Park has both. It is Wisconsin’s third oldest state park, the largest and the most popular!
On this trip, we'll first enjoy a short hike until we reach the starting rappelling spot. Then, we'll go through safety measures and techniques such as how to use a rappel device, the rope system and effective lowering skills. Finally, we will put everything we have learned to practice. Each participant will be able to get 3 to 5 rappels on this adventure.
Even though no technical level is required for this trip, it is not recommended for those with fear of heights. Additionally, you will need a good fitness level.
This trip is a perfect stepping stone to become an expert climber, mountaineer and/or canyoneer. Book your place now and join us on this wonderful adventure!
