On this program, you will get to climb cliffs with the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean below to catch you. A great team of guides and instructors will lead the way and show you the ropes over the course of one or two weeks.
Deep water soloing is an exciting form of rock climbing that involves climbing cliffs without ropes with the cushion of the water below. Although it might seem intimidating at first, we will teach you the skills you need to gain confidence and truly enjoy this exciting sport and outdoor adventure.
A typical day will begin with an easy-going wake-up, maybe some yoga, maybe a dip in the pool, and then, by 10.30 am, some fun at the crags. We will start with a warm-up and then, learn the necessary techniques including how to fall in the water, and overhangs, to tackle the day. Then we will spend the day practicing, we will break for lunch, and then continue increasing the intensity of our climbs as we progress. When we are done for the day, we will stop to hang out at a local beach bar, and then head back for a tasty dinner and a glass of wine.
Keep in mind that you don’t need to be an expert to join this program, but previous outdoor sport climbing experience is highly recommended min. grade: indoor leading 6b / outdoor leading 6a (5.10a). We are here to guide and teach you what you need to know to enjoy an exciting adventure. Furthermore, we will show you some of the top spots, and the best secret spots for deep water soloing in Mallorca!

I was wondering if you have any upcoming groups for an 8-day trip that I could join?
Yes, we usually have scheduled group dates for this trip.
Whenever we have upcoming group dates, you'll find them here: https://www.explore-share.com/trip/deep-water-soloing-mallorca/#join-a-group
Or you can also ask us on the chat when sending the request.
Is accommodation included for the whole duration of the stay? What about meals? Are they included in the package?
Yes, that's correct! The accommodation provided is for the entire duration of your stay, and it's a basic shared accommodation that comes at no extra cost. I am sorry to say that meals and drinks are not included in the package. However, you'll have the freedom to explore local dining options and choose meals according to your preferences.
Will I need to bring my own harness, climbing shoes, and chalk, or can I borrow them at the climbing site?
It's recommended to bring your own climbing shoes (bringing two pairs is even better, so you have a backup while one pair dries out). While it's possible to borrow a harness and chalk, using your own gear will likely be more comfortable for you.
Do I need to be an experienced climber to try deep water soloing in Mallorca?
Mallorca offers a wide range of routes suitable for different skill levels, including beginners, but we have min. grade required 6a which is what most of the people attending our Beginners Learn to Lead Courses are climbing. So we recommend this course if you climb 6a/5.10a outdoor lead, or consult you abilities with the guide on the chat before booking.
Is accomodation included during the course? Where will we stay?
Yes, accomodation is included at Campament Hipocamp. Keep in mind it's a basic shared accomodation in a campsite. For accommodation of higher standards please let us know on the chat when sending a booking request.

This trip was falsely advertised to a group of people who are not a group of climbers. The number of people to the number of guide was not proportion: 15 people to 2 guides. They did not take into consideration that everyone on the trip may not climb the same grades and picked cliffs that only contained advanced routes. As a fairly strong climber myself, I found it difficult to keep up with the rest of the group. And for accommodations, no company prepared us for what we were about to walk into. We understood the accommodations were not going to be luxurious, but we walked into essentially a camping trip without the proper gear. We were not prepared or told to bring camping gear or the basics like hand soap, bowls/plates/utensils. One of the most frustrating things about the trip was communication. There was not proper communication between the local guides and us on the kind of approaches and length and proper footwear. And while we understand that we are at the mercy of the weather for most of the DWS, plans were not expressed timely to our group so it often felt like a scramble to know where/when/what time things were to occur. Overall, poor planning and management. But as a fellow climber, I did enjoy myself and enjoyed trying DWS. I would go back to Mallorca for DWS, but would not book through Rockbusters and/or ExploreShare

Mallorca is beautiful but this trip is misadvertised and was poorly organized. The description says suitable for all skill levels and the FAQ says some climbing experience is beneficial but that there’s a wide range of routes suitable for beginners. This was untrue as the trip was heavily catered towards experienced climbers with essentially no beginner friendly routes. We also only had one local guide for 14 climbers, who was great, but unable to provide much individualized guidance as there were so many of us. In terms of trip organization and accommodations, Jany from Rockbusters was supposed to be in charge but provided few details. I asked if we needed to bring bedding and the response was “there should be some sheets.” In reality, the accommodations were at a campsite where you needed to bring everything you’d need for camping, yet we were not told this. It didn’t even have soap to wash your hands with. A group of us ended up scrambling and getting an Airbnb instead. We were not told any type of schedule ahead of time for climbing or that there’d be an off day where we could explore on our own. Would not recommend using Rockbusters.
