Grand Teton National Park is the epitome of natural beauty, a defining part of the Teton Mountains and the state of Wyoming. Within thirty minutes of Jackson Hole, this extraordinary destination is home to epic peaks like Grand Teton (4,199m), Mt. Moran (3,842m), and Mt. Owen (3,940m). The geological formation of the range involves a drastic vertical gain straight from the valley, free of foothills and other natural barriers so it receives a majority of its precipitation as snow.

The rugged rocks of these stunning peaks are inspiring, which is why we are placing you directly into their backcountry and guiding you on a life-changing ski touring program through its pristine powder. We will ascend and descend the lines and runs that have made the Tetons a must-ski destination for proficient athletes across the globe.

During your two-day program, you can expect to learn the intricacies of a professional guide’s skiing techniques, from the way they select runs to their approach to terrain and ski conditions. The entire program will be spent in the national park, applying your instruction in a practical manner that will help you improve into a backcountry guru.

Some topics of the camp include risk management and safety, travel techniques, avalanche search and rescue, and snowpack assessment. The instruction will coincide with run after run in the evocative Tetons and their untouched powder. This is the perfect way to combine ski touring with training, utilizing our deep knowledge, experience, and expertise to give you a safe, fulfilling, and all-around fun excursion.

This program is for intermediate to advanced skiers who are proficient in various terrain and backcountry. This includes an excellent physical condition and the mental fortitude to be comfortable in a remote area. Participants can expect to hike uphill over 1,200 meters a day.

I had a great day and a great experience

Keala

Joel was a great climbing guide! I was nervous climbing outside since it’s been awhile but the guide was extremely good with hearing my concerns and adapted to help me feel comfortable. We started climbing on a low grade and then worked our way to harder levels. I also didn’t feel comfortable leading outside so my guide (Joel) did that as well. Also, there is so much to climb at red rock that without a guide it would be really hard to figure out the routes. I had such a great time!! It’s so beautiful out there and the whole experience was a lot of fun. I definitely recommend this company and Joel as a guide!
