Monte Legnoncino: At 1711 m (5614 ft), this stunning peak in the Bergamo Alps, is not only a great vantage point for Lake Como but also a historical World War I site with trenches and fortresses.

Monte Bregagno: The day hike to Monte Bregagno (2107 m / 6,913 ft) is a great opportunity to discover one of the most important mountains on the west side of Lake Como. It is also known as the “the good giant of Lake Como” thanks to its mild slopes and the grassy summit. It’s an easy hike but demanding because of the long distance covered. You’ll enjoy stunning views over Lake Como, Alps and Switzerland on the way up, and a breathtaking panorama all over once at the top!

• Distance: 12 km, duration: 6/7 hours, elevation gain of 1050m.

Monte Grona: At 1,736 m (5,696 ft) the rocky and rugged Monte Grona is a gorgeous hiking alternative that will afford you views of Lake Como, Lake Lugano, and Lake Piano from the top!

• Distance: 7 km, duration: 4/5 hours, 750 m elevation gain.

• Meeting point: Parking lot at Monti di Breglia.
