Day hike on the Wonder Walking Trail from the Franz Senn Hut, near St. Anton

Right next to the Franz Senn Hut, above St. Anton am Arlberg, there is a magical hiking path to discover: the Wonder Walking Trail. We invite you to join us on a day hike and explore this unique trail, enjoying a great learning experience for kids and families.

Along the path, we will observe and learn about the variety of flora and fauna of this region, animal habitats and local geology. This loop trail has 25 different stations to catch the interest of children and adults as well. It consists of different stages: the alpine flowers and herb garden trail, a tree house with hand’s path and platforms at a height of 13 metres, an “Insect Hotel” and even a bee colony!

There is also a “Cool” trail, a “Forest of Wonder”, and an impressive plantation of more than 20.000 edelweisss, with energy loungers to relax in the middle.  Using the QR codes supplied at the entrance you can find answers straight in your smartphone along the way, to many different questions regarding fauna, flora and natural habitats.

This amazing trail takes us to discover the many different shapes, colors and scents of nature. The Wonder Walking Trail is a unique way to get our senses awakened by direct contact with nature. It is also a great opportunity for you and your family to to appreciate nature at its finest and to experience the great outdoors in a beautiful location. After the walk, we can relax and enjoy some specialties at the Senn Hut.
