Day hike in Wilder Kaiser Nature Reserve, Tyrol

Join us for a day of hiking in the beautiful Wilder Kaiser Nature Reserve in Tyrol. This reserve is home to the Kaiser Mountains- some of the most stunning mountains in the Alps. There are also lots of interesting plants and animals there and many great hiking routes.  

On this trip, we’ll leave early from Kufstein, a small town close to the Bavarian border. We’ll hike for a total of nine kilometres throughout the day to the summit of Gamskogel and back. Gamskogel sits at 1,149 metres above sea level. From the top, we’ll have amazing views of the Kaisertal Valley and the Wilder Kaiser Range.

From there, we’ll hike through picture-perfect alpine scenery as we make our way towards the Kaindl Hut for lunch. There we’ll find delicious food and enjoy great hospitality from Tyrol locals. After we’ve eaten, we’ll then make our way back and finish up for the day.

The day of hiking has an intermediate level of difficulty and we’ll be walking for approximately four hours, so you’ll need to be relatively fit to join this trip.
