Description

Near Popayan, the capital city of the Cauca department in Colombia, there is a fantastic place ideal for a trekking adventure: the Puracé National Park.

The Puracé National Park offers the most spectacular sceneries. And on this day trek, we’ll learn about its cultural heritage, and discover its unique and wonderful wildlife. Also, we’ll get to admire the stunning Puracé volcano, which offers hypnotizing views of the area, all the way to Popayan on clear days.

Furthermore, we will encounter the most fantastic hiking paths, brimming with mesmerizing flora and curious creatures, and dazzling cascades. The most beautiful landscapes in the Cauca are here, waiting for us to enjoy them.

The hiking trails we’ll cross are easy to follow. The main road is a 15 kilometer rocky path that constantly changes sceneries. As we trek deeper into the Puracé National Park, we’ll encounter small cascades, that will refresh our walk with their mist. Finally, it finishes at the Condor viewpoint, the perfect place to spot these magnificent birds.
