Description

Combine nature with culture on this 1-day program around Collsacabra, near Barcelona.

Collsacabra is a comarca near Barcelona, in Catalonia. In this subregion, we can enjoy hiking across several villages with incredible views and plenty of culture. On this 1-day tour, I would like to invite you to discover beautiful natural areas and try delicious local meals in Collsacabra.

First of all, I’ll pick you up at the Vic train station, around 1 hour from Barcelona. Then, we’ll drive for 40 minutes and reach Cantonigros, a village in the municipality of Santa María de Corcó where we’ll share breakfast and begin our hike to the Sanctuary of Cabrera, an interesting spot for local history and culture. Our hike will continue to the old and beautiful village of Rupit. Finally, at 6 pm, we’ll return to the Vic train station so you can head back to Barcelona.

The proposal for this hike is to follow a circular path where you can learn about the culture and gastronomy of the place. Also, the natural surrounding will provide us with incredible landscapes. As for the demand, the level of the walk is normal so it’s better if you have a good level of fitness, but it’s not necessary to have prior experience.

So would you like to take part in this hiking experience? Then all you have to do is send the request and make your reservation. I’m sure you’ll love exploring this beautiful region in Catalonia.

Another great option for hiking is Spain could be this trekking that I lead in Montserrat. Check it out!

Jordi was a great guide. He communicated with us about the details of the hike, timing, expectations, etc. He laid out the options and let us select the best activity level for what we were capable of.

Allen

Jordi is 100% passionate about what he does. It was my first multi-pitch and he gave me excellent, clear instructions. Great teacher! I never once felt uncomfortable or in danger. I trusted him with my life. And, he’s just really easy to be around! The day began with my journey from Barcelona to Montserrat. The night before, he made sure I had the right train to get there. In the morning, when I arrived at the Monistrol de Montserrat station, he was already there waiting to pick me up. He drove us to get some coffee and a last minute bathroom break. From there, we drove a bit to the actual mountain and made the final approach on foot. The climb itself was really fun! I’m addicted to multi-pitches now. The whole experience was just what I needed. I will definitely be back for more with Jordi.
