Description
The Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, located only a half hour from Vegas, is a popular hiking destination due to its breathtaking desert scenery and variety of hiking trails.
This day hike takes us around the White Rock Hills, a sandstone complex which lies at La Madre Mountain’s base. It’s a 4.4 mile trail of moderate difficulty.
On this hike you can enjoy diverse scenery, from a forested area with pine trees to a typical desert landscape speckled with cacti. You may also see foxes and bighorn sheep.
