During our day hike, we will trek along the wall of Tavertet’s Cliff. Here, you’ll enjoy the fantastic views of the Valley of Sau, surrounded by magnificent cliffs and deep blue water. Thereupon we will hike to Puig de la Força. It is on this wonderful spot that we’ll encounter the mysterious ruins of the castle of Cornil.
After exploring this area, we will head to the reservoir of Sau, a colossal damn with over 83 meters of height and about 260 meters of length. We’ll keep hiking until we reach the bottom of Morro de l’Abella, an imposing rock that manages to stand out from the dazzling sceneries of the Valley of Balà. Then, we will trek through this mesmerizing valley, where we’ll be able to see the Tirabous cascade. With its impressive fall of 50 meters, it is an amazing sight we cannot miss.
Later, we’ll continue our adventure, descending some stairs until we reach the bottom of the cliff. We will head towards the Molí Bernat cascade, another unforgettable spectacle, with a fall of over 70 meters. Finally, we will begin our return, using a path that leads back to Tavertet, through the ancient Roman bridge of Molí Bernat.

Trekking Guide
I'm a certified Mid-Mountain and Canyoning guide and a certified UIMLA Leader. I'm also a member of the High Mountain Catalan School (ECAM).
I have been working as a Mid-Mountain and Canyoning guide since 2008. My love for the mountains began at a very young age, as I grew up in the Pyrenees.
This passion eventually took me all around the world, including the Himalayas, the Andes, the Alps and Morocco where I travelled to practice mountaineering, rock climbing, canyoning, ski mountaineering, ice climbing, and mountain biking.
As a guide, my aim is to instill my passion for the mountains in you and that you experience it in the same way that I do: intensely and with minimal risk. Mountains are more than a job or an entertainment; they are a philosophy and a way of learning about life.

Everything was well-planned. The guide Raquel explained what we needed to do and made sure that everyone understood. The guide provided wetsuits, safety gear, and helmets. We had options to climb and jump, or opt on any climb or jump we didn’t feel comfortable doing. I traveled with my 21 year old daughter, 58 year old husband and self (age 60). This was our first canyoning trip. Beginner level, was perfect for us, and we did well. We loved it and I’m so glad we discovered this amazing sport! We did every jump and climb! Thank you Raquel for your guidance! Also your recommendations for other hiking and touring in the area! We did visit Rupit, Besalu, and São Paulo! I would definitely recommend this to those that are in reasonable good fitness and love the water and jumping into water!
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
