Join me to an exploratory mountaineering expedition to Darwin range, in the furthest south extreme of Chilean Patagonia.
Darwin Range is known for its mountains and amazing wild lands that are becoming the future of mountaineering in Patagonia. It makes de mountaineers fall in love with the magic of the hostile and generates the deepest admiration for nature.
The last tip of the Andes mountain range, the Darwin range is part of Alberto de Agostini National Park.
Darwin Range has many very active glacier, and often massive chunks of ice will plummet into the sea below. Sea lions, penguins and leopards seals curiously poke their heads through the floating ice chunks. And often also foxes and penguins wander the beaches and hillsides nearby.
This one of a kind expedition on a sailboat is unique in south Patagonia. We use the boat as a base camp, returning there once reached the summit or whatever the group is looking forward to do in the place. This tactic allows the expeditions to have a better safety framework than any other activity without support of any kind. It also provides comfort and a relaxation spot once the daily output is over.
All the sailboats which travel to Darwin Mountain Range have individual and shared beds, a restroom with shower, a living room with table for breakfast/lunch, hot water and infusions all day long, a kitchen and a dining room (the capacity of the boat will be recommended depending on the number of people in the party).
We offer service of guidance for any mountain in Darwin Range.
We can customize the program according to what the customer wants to do in the area. This can include not only mountaineering activities but also scientific.
Please ask for arranged programs, prices and dates.

I was born and live in Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world! I've been skiing since I was 2 years old, and competed as a ski athlete in a Nordic ski and Biathlon world ski championships, world cups and in the winter Olimpic Games Torino 2006
In 2007 I retired from professional competitions to focus on my guiding career. I trained on rock, ice and mixed climbing skills as well as guiding techniques and became a mountain guide in 2011 at the Argentinean Mountaineering Guides Association (AAGM). In 2017 I completed the guiding courses to become also a certified Ski Mountain Guide GEM-AAGM.
I've done a large number of technical climbs at the Darwin Range and Patagonia while many of those are new lines

The trip was great! Sebastian's colleague Ignacio catered it exactly as I have envisioned the trip to be according to my skills and background experience. He was patient and helpful when I struggled in certain moments and he taught me a lot of important safety details on various aspects of the activity, which was what I expected. Overall, a fantastic three days and will definitely return if I have time next year!
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
