Join me on this 8-day guided hiking tour and discover the Mediterranean charm of the old picturesque towns of Dalmatia and its beautiful landscape diversity.
Dalmatia is the whole southern region of Croatia, a narrow belt of the east shore of the Adriatic Sea, stretching from Zadar in the north to Dubrovnik in the south. It is a sun-drenched region, known for one of the most beautiful landscapes in Croatia, including high mountain ranges, islands and a beautiufl coast line.
We will fly directly to Split, the largest city in Dalmatia. In good weather, the flight is already a great experience, with a great view over the Alps from above. From Split a shuttle bus will take us to Omiš. We will be staying in a single hotel here for the whole time.
Omis is a small beautiful town and harbor, located where the Cetina River meets the Adriatic Sea. It is about 25 kilometres from Split. From our hotel, we will make star-shaped hikes in the region. You can check the detailed itinerary below.
In order to get to the starting/ending point of the hikes we will sometimes take a private bus, so we can enjoy the hikes with a light daypack. Every day you can decide whether you want to participate in the hike or do something different on your own. Outside of the bustling cities, we will have time for hiking, experiencing nature, the silence and seclusion of the area.
The unique location of the family-run hotel allows us to enjoy a magnificent view of the old town of Omiš and the sea, as well as the Cetina gorge. Omiš is a small town with a variety of grocery stores and restaurants. The shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance.
We will be hiking for about 3 to 5 hours every day. This is is a hike of easy/intermediate level. We will walk on mostly good trails in open terrain, with partly karstic paths and isolated trackless sections.
I am a multilingual hiking guide and I have personally organized this trip. As a grop tour, this will be the first trip, so it has some special pioneering character.
If you want to join me on this great hiking tour in Dalmatia, check the date below and book your trip. It will be an unforgettable tour. I also offer other great hiking tours, in Switzerland and Finland.
Arrival by plane to Split. City tour in Split and continue by shuttle bus to Omiš to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
During these days, we will enjoy different hikes between the sea, the coast and the mountains in the region. Sometimes we will start our hike directly from the hotel, sometimes with a (taxi) bus or a boat.
The tours include:
-Walking along and out of the canyon of Cetina, one of the three largest rivers in Croatia
-Boat trip to the island of Brač and hike to the Vidova Gora mountain (778m), the highest of the Croatian islands; tasting of local specialties.
-Outing to the famous waterfalls in Krka National Park with a short hike included.
-Hiking in Biokovo National Park on an old, beautifully maintained mule track to a summit with a fantastic panoramic view, from the eastern coast of Croatia to the offshore Croatian islands and with a clear view of about 250 km from the Italian mainland. This will be our hike with the highest ascent (about 1100m, but only about 200m descent). Following, lunch with local specialties.
-1 day at leisure
After the hikes, if there is still some time, it is possible to go swimming in the sea, swimming in the hotel’s jacuzzi with a panoramic view, exploring the place, or just doing nothing.
At dinner, we can end the day with local specialties and reviewing our experiences.
Return from Omiš by shuttle bus to Split and plane to Zurich.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
