Charlevoix is a Biosphere Reserve located 80 kilometers east of Quebec City. North of the Saint Lawrence River, and close to the Laurentian Mountains, this fantastic place is one of the best destinations for cross-country skiing.
This natural and cultural area was declared a World Biosphere Reserve in 1989 by UNESCO. It includes dazzling fjords, stunning headlands and beautiful bays. Here, we can find an incredibly rich biodiversity, that comprises mixed and coniferous forests, mountain tundra and river ecosystems, flats and estuarine tidal marshes, agricultural areas and meadows.
And some of the animals that inhabit these lands include the beluga whale and blue whale, wolf, boreal woodland, caribou, north american cougar. So keep your eyes open throughout our adventure, for all the curious creatures we could spot.
One of the best ways to discover this winter wonderland and its hypnotizing views, is cross-country skiing. As this marvellous activity would allow us to reach areas otherwise almost impossible to get to.
Furthermore, this is a private trip. So our guides will follow you and your group exclusively, to make sure you are safe and having a great time.
