Crack climbing in Ettringen (2 days, 2 nights)

Located in the Rhineland-Palatinate area of Germany, Ettringen is full of amazing black basalt rock quarries. Thus making the area fantastic for thrilling rock climbing. And for 2 full days, I would like to guide you through this wonderful climbing area.

The focus of this trip will be crack climbing. And the objective will be to help you improve upon the crack climbing skills you already have, while also helping you develop some new ones as well. Some examples of what you will learn during this trip includes how to correctly place jammers, how to use natural anchors, equipment usage, climbing strategies and more.

Some of the tracks we will be climbing on are equipped, while others are not. As a result, during this trip you will be doing some trad climbing. While trad climbing is typically more challenging than regular rock climbing, it is also more thrilling as well. However, due to the challenging aspect of it, much practice and proper technique is required. Hence the importance of a course like this one.

In order to participate on this trip, you should have prior trad climbing experience. You should also be also be able to climb at a minimum 5b level with the ability to climb cliffs autonomously. You should also be in good physical condition.
