In the center of Corsica we find Corte: a small town as the perfect base to go on great rock climbing adventures. The region is mountainous and with lakes. The cliffs we can climb are of beautiful limestone and granite.
There are several options for rock climbing in the area: the Restonica valley, the Tavignanu valley, the Verghellu valley and Popolasca. The routes are very different, but all the options I propose range from D (difficult) to ED (extremely difficult). Therefore, you need rock climbing experience and a good physical condition.
Many of the routes I propose are at the Restonica valley. It is one of the most beautiful valleys in Corsica and the rock climbing options here stretch for over 10 kilometers. We can go to the Pointe des 7 lacs (2226m), where we climb the Symphonie d’automne (280m, TD). Or to the Pain de sucre (2100m), to climb L’oubliée (220m, TD+). At the Punta Spenicazzia (1506m) we can climb the Acqua di rocca (200m, TD+) or the Candella di l’oro (200m, D+). And at the Monte Leonardo (1146m) a great option is the Amandulina (200m, TD). I also offer many options at the Lombarducciu (2261m), the Punta San Teofalu (1720m), Pointe de la Touffe (1751m) and Punta u Finellu (1565m).
At the Tavignanu valley there are some fantastic options at the Rossolinu (908m) and the Punta Finosa (1855m). And if you choose Verghellu, we can go to the Ponte 976 (976m) or to the Cervellu (1075m). A great option in Castiglione is the Rundinaia (1750m), and finally at Popolasca I love going to Monte Bertonze (1600m).
As you can see, the choices are almost endless in this climbing paradise in Corte. So you just have to choose where you want to start climbing!
Tempted to explore the vertical world of beautiful Corsica? Then please request to book this trip. I can already tell you that you will have the time of your life!

Mountain Guide
Certified mountain guide UIAGM / IFMGA
I work with Manu, a good friend of mine...
We are both rock climbing instructors and certified mountain leaders. I shared with Manu happy and doubtful moments, building a professional future with a passionate focus on the mountain and the guide role. An open vision over the world, where our competences, knowledge and curiosity are at our client’s service for one day or for life.
The agency we founded together is the natural outcome of our profound complicity. People think we are cousins or brothers. We are just friends, and lucky to be so, because our children are in love: as in love as you can be at 8 years old!
We are both lucky to live in Corsica, this unknown mountain where climbers, mountaineers and skiers still feel like pioneers. This mountain is our playground and our office.
Curious and open to the world, we also organize each year trips to faraway places to see what other mountains and people can give to us, and what we can learn from them.
Ice in the Equator and Patagonia, Spanish, Jordanian or American rocks, snow in the Carpathians, Norway ot the Caucasus. We love the mountain in all its forms and every time we reach a summit we want to climb the neighbouring summit and find what is hiding behind it.

Our guide, Manu, was fantastic, very experienced and knowledgeable, and a great, friendly guy. The climb was amazing, and Restonica Valley so awe inspiring.

Jeff was our rock climbing guide and he was awesome. He was easy to communicate with ahead of time, extremely knowledgeable about all the routes, kind and very safe on the rocks with us. He was flexible about which routes we did . We had a really wonderful day with him and felt very well taken care of. Highly recommend him.

Cedric was a competent fun guide. We did several multi-pitch climbs. He accommodated our desire to lead both multi sport and trad. Using a guide and just bringing our personal climbing gear was the only way we could fit climbing in. I would use Cedric again.
My 1 day of glorious granite sport multi pitching with Cedric! The only route (??) to start from the sea was a great adventure with some exposed pitched of enjoyable climbing. Cedric was great: full of energy and enthusiasm and really motivating. Obviously extremely professional and handing out advice both with climbing technique and rope / safety.

IMPORTANT COMMENT: the trip couldn't be made due to the weather. But both Cedric as the backoffice team has been extremely helpful in finding an alternative and solution. Finally we didn't go because of illness of 2 of the group. But definitely I will look for another trip next year.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
