Description

On this 2-day adventure, we will reach the top of the Sierra Nevada in the Chilean Andes and discover the beautiful Conguillio National Park in the Araucania region.

We will set off early at 6 am from Temuco to the Malalcahuello valley, from where we will begin our trek to the foot of the Sierra Nevada peak. We will take the north route all the way to the summit and enjoy the gorgeous views from there. Then, we will descend on the south side to the famous Conguillio park where we will enjoy beautiful sunset views and spend the night. The following day, we will go down to Melipeuco and enjoy a tasty farewell asado. We will be back at approximately 6 pm.

Keep in mind that this is a demanding trek. We will be hiking for between 8 and 10 hours each day. Therefore, you will need to have a good fitness level to join this tour.

Itinerary

Day 1: Sierra Nevada

Transfer to Malalcahuello from Temuco.
We will climb to the top of Sierra Nevada and enjoy the views from the summit.
We will descend to Conguillio park, where we will set up camp and enjoy the sunset.

Day 2: Return

Descent to Melipeuco and farewell asado.
