Hiking across a glacier is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. You are literally walking on a frozen slab of history, ancient history. And on the Col du Geant (3,387m), that slab of history is absolutely stunning to behold.
Famous for its views of the Mont Blanc massif, traversing the Col du Geant is truly thrilling. There is so much to see that your head will be on a constant swivel. Surrounded by glorious peaks, I have no doubt you will be in a state of constant awe.
The trip will begin at the Skyway cable car, which we will take to the Punta Helbronner (3,452m). From there, we will follow an easy, wide open, looping route from the Punta Helbronner to the Col du Rochefort (3,520m). Thus giving you the perfect panoramic view that only the Col du Geant can offer.
Furthermore, throughout the day, you will have the opportunity to learn some basic mountaineering techniques. Some of those techniques include the following.
Snow travel with crampons
Rope team travel on snowfields and glaciers
Travel techniques using mountain poles
Walking rhythm
Proper preparation of equipment in accordance with the type of venture
There are several other helpful tips and experience you will pick up during this trip. Hence making this adventure not only an exciting journey, but an educational one as well!
If you have always wanted to explore a glacier, then why not try exploring one of the world’s most famous ones? And why not enjoy it knowing one of the most famous mountains in the world will be staring down at you, anxious to be admired?
If that sounds like an adventure you want to enjoy, please send me a request.

We did a 1 day Ferrata with Marica. We've both never climbed a Ferrata before but we are both good hikers. We enjoyed our trip very much and you don't need to be a climber. Marica took good care of us and she is very informative with the local geography and history. We felt very safe with her. If you are traveling near the Dolomite and want to try something a bit out of your comfort zone, I highly recommend doing a ferrata especially with Marica. We did both ferrata ra gusela nuvolau and ferrata-averau. It took us about 6 hours.
