Col de Salese (Mercantour) guided snowshoeing tour

Located in the Mercantour National Park, Col de Salese is an ideal place for beginner snowshoe hikers. Come with me to enjoy this beautiful forest and discover the different wild animals that live there.

This trip is open to everyone! We will be snowshoeing for 4 hours and gaining an elevation of almost 500 meters. In this original trek, we’ll get to see breathtaking panoramic views of Valberg (Mount Mounier) and Isola 2000 (Mont Saint Sauveur).

This wild valley will also give us the opportunity to go around looking for traces of wild animals, such as chamois and hares. If we are lucky, we’ll even get to see wolf traces! In addition, we’ll get to enjoy a forest rich in tree varieties. The chosen trail is full of firs and larches!

It won’t only be a simple snowshoeing walk in Col de Salese, it’ll be also an interesting learning experience. I’ll teach you everything about snow and forest security.

Be sure to bring a backpack, a warm fleece, a windbreaker jacket, a liter of water, sunglasses and sunscreen, something for lunch as well as chocolate and cereal bars.
