Description

Discover rock climbing in all safety, and in a beautiful environment! In this occasion I invite you to join me for a weekend in Provence, in which we will spend 2 fantastic days climbing while enjoying the wonderful natural setting.

Only 4 hours away from Geneva (where I am based), Provence is an ideal region to have a first try at rock climbing. There are very varied routes of different difficulties on the sunny walls. They extend along a fantastic landscape of hills covered in olive trees and vineyards.

To participate in this program, you do not need to have prior climbing experience, not even indoor climbing. When you book the trip it is useful to give me information about your physical shape, climbing experience (if you have), age, so I can already plan the details of the program according to the participants.

As this might be your first rock climbing trip, it is important to talk about the equipment you need to bring. Pack sport clothes for the season ant the altitude, good walking/hiking shoes, a waterproof jacket, a large enough backpack to carry the climbing equipment, sunglasses and sunscreen. And don’t forget your meds if you take any, as well as a picnic and a water bottle.

Please note that if the weather makes it impossible to go rock climbing in Provence, I will modify it for another adequate destination.

Interested in this program? Then just book it and let’s go! I like to keep groups small, so make sure you book it soon to leave on the next programmed departure.

What people are saying about ES Adventure Guides

Peter

This was a great trip and Explore Share made finding the right trip super easy. Our guide was personable, extremely knowledgeable, and experienced and willing to teach us the skills we would have needed to climb the Matterhorn. Unfortunatly, the conditions were not right to climb so our guide recemmended another trip which was still a great experience and lots of fun.

Emma

Very user friendly platform with timely responses from Explore Share representatives. The trip itself with Tom from Alps Adventures was awesome and ensure that we had an experience that was 100% what we wanted. Recommend both the platform and the guide. Thanks to all for arranging and delivering so well.

I had am amazing time during the 1-day off-piste training course at Hoch-Ybrig. Urs, our main mountain guide, was very helpful in answering my queries before the course, and Lupe from explore-share was helpful in selecting the course. We had 3 groups under Urs, Mario and Patrick, and I was in the group with Patrick. He gave us a lot of nice tips and individualized video analysis. He made a special effort to convey everything in English, since I don't know German. All the participants were very helpful and friendly too! The course is good value for money as skis are included for the weekend in the course price.
