Calling all mountaineers to Spain! Join me on this 1 day adventure climbing the Torre Cerredo!
The Torre Cerredo is located in the Picos de Europa (meaning “peaks of Europe”) in Northern Spain. Only 20 kilometers from the coast, the region is filled with breathtaking scenery, much of which you will get to see as you summit the Torre Cerredo.
As the highest peak in the Picos de Europa mountain range, we will accumulate about 1,530 meters on this climb, which of course will allow us to take in the beautiful landscapes. Having been climbed for the first time in 1882, the climb presents a bit of a challenge, as it has a difficulty level of V+ and takes about 12 hours. It is as rigorous as it is exhilarating.
This is a small trip for only 1-2 participants at a time, making it a fun activity to enjoy with plenty of hands-on help from a local guide!

AEGM-UIMLA Guide from Spain
I did my first steps as a mountaineer as a teenager in Madrid. But the desire to enjoy all the possibilities given by the mountains convinced me to move to Benasque valley, at the heart of the Pyrenees.
Along the years I did several winter and summer activities not only in the Pyrenees, but also in Picos de Europa, Sierra Nevada, Sistema Central...
One of my passions is to travel and discover new places and cultures, so I did climbing trips to other European countries, USA, Canada, Morocco, India, Nepal, Kirguistán... This trips gave me a priceless experience that made me grow as a climber, and set the stone to my formation as professional mountain guide.
I now live in Cantabria, and usually guide both in summer and winter in the Cantabrian range.

We had a great time climbing in Picos!!

We had a great time with the two-day route through Picos de Europa. Our guide Fran has given us a treatment that goes beyond the personal... he has taken care of us, he has taught us lots of tricks, he has made us overcome this physical and psychological challenge we were facing and he has made us fall in love with Picos when we saw it with his eyes. The experience has been so incredible that I am sure I will always remember it. Thank you so much for everything Fran!
