Description

Dominating the skyline of coastal Cape Town is the iconic Table Mountain, overlooking both the city and Atlantic Ocean.

Its steep vertical cliffs soar skywards before abruptly ending at the flat summit. It is a natural treasure of South Africa.

Serving a whole host of routes, the mountain offers everything from easy short climbs to challenging multi-pitch routes.

Climbing in Cape Town presents outstanding views of both the ocean that spread out beyond the eye can see, and the sprawling urban city.

Whether a seasoned climber or fresh-faced beginner, the wide variety of climbs means every type of climber will be covered.

All routes here are traditional, so that no bolts or steps are fixed to the rock. So you’ll climb Table Mountain in all its raw beauty.

Perhaps the best trad climbing is the classic Jacob’s Ladder, a highly rewarding challenge set for the dare devils. A clean climb with an airy traverse, the demanding climb offers breathtaking panoramas from the top. A true veterans’ favourite.

Other ideal climbs include the Integral Ascent, a moderate climb on the north face that mixes rock climbing with hiking.

Arrow Final is an easier climb on the narrow face ideal for beginners that features stunning ocean views.

And this is just a small sample size of what is truly available. So from your previous experience, level and desire, we’ll craft a customised itinerary only for you.
