Mount Shuksan (2,783 m.) is a glaciated massif located Whatcom County, Washington. It is within the North Cascades National Park and its famous for its three sided peak, known as the Summit Pyramid. In this 3-day tour we will get to the top of this imposing mountain via the popular Sulphide Glacier.
We will get to the top of Shuksan via the Sulphide Glacier. It is a moderate climb with some technical difficulties. In this trip, novice mountaineers will learn the basics of ice climbing while intermediate and advanced will improve their mountaineering skills under expert guidance.
Shuksan is one of the most photographed mountains around the world, for its incredible beauty. Withs four major faces, five ridges and great icefall glaciers, it is also one of the vital mountaineering destinations of the North Cascades.
Sulphide Glacier is situated on the south slopes of Mount Shuksan. It has high cascades lying in Sulphide Lake, which empties over Sulphide Creek Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in North America.
