  • Enjoy the stunning scenery on and around Mount Kilimanjaro.
  • Conquer one of the world's Seven Summits.
  • Take in the sunrise from the summit of Kilimanjaro.

Description

Rising up to 5,895 meters in elevation, Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and the only one of the Seven Summits that does not require any technical mountaineering skills.

Of the numerous ways to summit this behemoth, one of the best ways is to make the 9-day hiking trek up the famed Lemosho trail.

Beginning with an approach through some native forest and elevated moorland, the scenery from top to bottom is sublime. As we trek through the national park and approach the foot of the mountain we will have the chance to see some of Africa's most iconic landscapes.

After ascending up onto the volcanic slopes of the massif, we will continue climbing steeply up scree, getting the chance to stay in various valleys and enjoy iconic views of the mountain from all sides.

Among the many highlights of the trip will come toward the end, on summit day. After getting a pre-dawn start, we will hike up to the top of Kilimanjaro in time to enjoy the sunrise over Mawenzi Peak.

Afterwards, if you are up for it, we can hike along the rim of Kilimanjaro's volcanic crater, before beginning our descent. We'll spend the last 2.5 days of the trip hiking down the mountain, out of the park and returning to the airport.

So what are you waiting for? Book now for this unforgettable 9-day trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho route!

Tremendous team-effort , highly professional attitude & coordination , mind-blowing guides & their game-drives , neat arrangements even in very adverse situations , superb hospitality from each & every employee..... Claudious Tours & Safaris made us feel at home from the very moment we stepped in Africa. Thank you for everything you did to us. Our trip wouldn't be so pleasant & successful without you guys.

In June, 2009 I climbed Mount Kenya, with Trekking Mount Kenya. I spent 4 days on the mountain and experienced the wonderful challenge and the friendly helpfulness and knowledge of my guides and porters. Everything was provided for my comfort and enjoyment so that it was a thoroughly fabulous and memorable trek! I recommend this company whole-heartedly.

Very organized, very friendly and professional staff. The tour was great, everything was as planned.

The Climbing Guides and service in both Kenya and Tanzania were super (5+ stars) Kenya Shem, Joxhu, Joseph & Agustin super and thanks. For Kilimanjaro, Deus and Goodlucky were fantastic. However Claudios needs to update the schedule (Lake Nakuru day 7 was canceled) and make available lunches (they were missing on 3 days to and from Nairobi) and make clear when travel will be alone. Finally the Nairobi service agent pushes additional add on Nairobi packages. These are of poor value and should be avoided. These additional package coverage was misleading and I should have avoided completely. This was a Nairobi issue only. Everyone else was above board and super to work with. in summary, the climbs are great and highly recommended. Note the published schedule is not exact and deal with the Nairobi service agent with caution. (Don't take the additional offerings.) Overall it was a very good experience where I met with many great people. Thanks to all.

Matthew
