Located in the Purcell Mountains of British Columbia, the Bugaboos are a world-class alpine playground. The 'Best of the Bugaboos' program is a great way to be introduced to the area or to further explore it. The options are limitless. The trip begins with a beautiful hike to the Conrad Kain Hut or Applebee Alpine campsite - our base for the following day's adventures. There are countless routes in the Bugaboos, from high alpine snow & ice climbs, to moderate multi-pitch rock routes, to some of the best long rock climbs in the world.
This trip is a 2:1 ratio, which is ideal for the classic Bugaboo ascents. Some examples include West Ridge of Pigeon Spire 5.4, the Kain route on Bugaboo Spire 5.7, and Surfs Up on Snowpatch Spire 5.9. For intermediate and fit climbers, this is an area that will inspire the mind and soul! Previous climbing skills are necessary. To gain the prerequisite skills, sign up for our 'Alpine Skills Week' or one of our Rock climbing skills courses.
A detailed program package will be emailed 3 days prior to course commencement.
Please get in touch with me if you want more information about this trip. It will be my pleasure to guide you around and enjoy some great rock climbing in these mountains I know well and love.

Instead of climbing in the bugaboos, I booked the rock progression program. Jeff gave me his recommendation for a program that fits my experience and schedule. Unfortunately, the program got cancelled 2 days before its start, as I was the only one who signed up for it. Instead, Jeff offered to book private days with a climbing guide. I booked two days and had great experiences with Austin, the guide. Austin explained me the options we had and we chose to do a skills training and to climb two multipitches. Austin was a great and very knowledgeable guide, I had a stunning experience and can recommend to do private days with him!
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
