Join me on this 2-day trip and reach the summit of Wildspitze (3774m), the highest mountain in Tyrol. This very varied and impressive tour takes you over glaciers and a gentle rock ridge. From the top, we will have a fantastic view over the Ötztal Alps.
Bear in mind this ascent requires an very good fitness level, as to hike up 8 to 9 hours per day, although no crampons experience is needed, as we will have some training time.
We will meet in Vent, where we will take a chairlift up to 2365m. From there we will walk (2,5h) to the summit of Wilder Mann (3019 m), to acclimatize to altitude. Then we will descend to the Rofenkar glacier for crampon training and continue to the Breslauer Hut (2844 m) where we stay over night.
On the next day, we start early to climb the Wildspitze. Over a slight via Ferrata we reach the Mitterkarjoch (3470m). From there we continue via the Taschach glacier to the southwest ridge to the summit. From the top, we will get breathtaking views over the surrounding mountains.
We will descend the same way, or if the conditons are good we make the traverse of Wildspitze and descend via the Rofenkar glacier back to the chairlift. It will takes us in total about 8 to 9 hours.
Want to join me on this ascent? Just send me a request, book your trip and I will guide you to the top of Wildspitze.

Mountain Guide
IFMGA/IVBV Certified mountain, ski and canyoning guide, member of DAV and VDBS mountaineering and sport climbing teaching and training team. I’ve been part of the VDBS team for the formation and training of German mountain guides for 20 years.
I started climbing at the age of 17. Since 1987 I am certified mountain guide and a passion has become a profession. I live in Scharnitz / Tyrol and I am leader of the moutaineering school Alpenwelt Karwendel in Mittenwald.
Ice climbing in norway, skitouring in morocco, rock climbing in cuba or high mountains in the himalaya - I like it to explore new areas around the world. I led a DAV training expedition for talented young mountaineers in the Tian Shan mountain range with climbing Khan Tengri and did several expeditions to the karakorum mountains and the himalayas.
As a full-time mountain guide, I feel at home in the Karwendel and Wetterstein mountains as well as in the mountains and climbing areas worldwide. I am happy to accompany you as a guide to your desired goal!

Better than I could ever have expected. Bernd was very skilled guide, able to smoothly adjust to my skill level and the conditions on the go. Very fiendly, easy to communicate with. Made my day extremely enjoyable and memorable.

Bernd was an amazing guide! We had a great time doing a 10 pitch climb on the Alpspitze mountain, and some fun single pitch afterward. As I am a somewhat experienced climber, he was a wonderful guide who gave me the freedom and trust to lead pitches and to belay him. Bernd is an excellent and smart climber who was able to push me to do my best and provide an incredible experience, while being patient while I enjoyed climbing on limestone in the alps for the very first time!

Bernd is a great teacher and guide. My husband and I are so glad that we had him as first timers for ice climbing. Aside from being knowledgeable, he is a very kind, warm and genuine person.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
