If you are traveling to Slovenia, we invite you to climb Triglav (2864m), the highest mountain in the country. You will spend 2 days exploring the unspoilt nature of the Julian Alps along with witnessing spectacular views.
Located in the heart of Triglav National Park, Mount Triglav is definitely worth exploring. It is the highest peak of the Julian Alps and its peculiar “Three Heads” shape not only makes it distinguishable but also serves as the national symbol. Climbing it is undoubtedly going to be one of the best experiences in Slovenia!
And, you don’t even have to be a mountain expert to go on this trip. As long as you have a fit body and some hiking experience, you should be just fine.
The trip begins and ends in the beautiful Krma valley. We can arrange to pick you up either from Bled or the capital city of Ljubljana and transfer you to the starting point of the trek in the valley.
The initial trail leads through meadows where we will walk past grazing cows and shepherds, seeing beautiful views all along. We will continue until we reach either Triglavski dom mountain hut or the Staničeva hut and call it a day.
The next day involves the much-awaited hike to the summit. It would take about 1.5- 2 hours to get to the top. The trail could be a bit airy and slippery. However, it is not a technical hike and should be completed without much difficulty.
And, what an accomplishment would it be to get to the top! The summit offers unobstructed vistas of the neighboring peaks. After spending some quality time, we will descend to our mountain hut and later to Krma valley, ending this remarkable trip.
If hiking this iconic peak sounds interesting to you, please get in touch with us. We will be happy to guide you.
