Description

Chile is filled with an assortment of incredible volcanoes. And on this full day adventure you will get to scale on of the country’s finest: Quetrupillan (2,360m).

The Quetrupillan Volcano, which is also known as Cut Spirit in the Mapuche language, is positioned in the Villarrica-Lanin volcanic chain. Thus putting it, and you, especially when you reach the magnificent summit, in a great position to enjoy some of the finest views in the Chilean Andes. You will get to see not only a variety of peaks, but also the vast, and gorgeous, surrounding landscape.

Our trip will begin and depart from Pucon at an altitude of 227 meters. From there, we will venture to Palguin. The ride by car takes approximately 40 minutes. After that, we will ascend the Quetrupillan Volcano.

The ascent will take approximately 6 hours. As a result, it is important that participants on this trip are in good physical condition.

Mountain Guide

I was born in the mountains, and outdoor activities have been my passion ever since I was a child. I enjoy rock climbing and have done so competitively. I also enjoy trekking and skiing and have a special affinity for ski touring on volcanoes in my native Chile.

I have been a mountain guide since 2014 and have a vast experience ski touring on the volcanoes near my home in Pucón, a beautiful lakeside town in southern Chile.
