Description

The Parinacota volcano (6,376m) is an amazing peak to climb. And, on this 9-day expedition, you will not only get to climb the great volcano, but you will also get to explore the gorgeous area around it.

Standing tall in the Andes of northern Chile, the Parinacota volcano lies just north of the Chungara lake and is neighbored by the Pomerape peak (6,282m). Despite its imposing size the Parinacota volcano is not overly difficult to climb. As a result, it is very popular with climbers from all over the world.

During this 9-day adventure you will get to visit a number of wonderful towns. Those towns include Putre, Parinacota, Socoroma and Caquena. You will also get to admire the area’s rich flora and fauna as well as wildlife, including guayas, flamingos, vicunas, vizcachas and more. Furthermore, the views you will get, not just of the Chilean Andes, but also of the Bolivian Altiplanic landscapes, are breathtaking.

Since this trip lasts for 9 days, you will have plenty of time to get properly acclimatized. To ensure proper acclimatization, we will even climb the Guane-Guane Mountain (5,190m). The climb will take approximately 8 hours.

It is important that participants on this trip are in good physical condition.

The Parinacota volcano is an amazing peak to climb. Moreover, the area around it is amazing to explore. And, it would be my pleasure to show it all to you over 9 extraordinary days. To join me on this adventure, all you have to do is send a request. I know you’ll have a great time.

I also offer a 13-day trip that will take you to the summit of the Ojos de Salado volcano, which also happens to be the highest volcano in the world!

Adolfo

For more than 20 years I have worked as a guide in Chile. Join me and I´ll be able to show you the wonderful spots that the Andes offer to those who share my passion for big mountains.

I live in Santiago de Chile, the Chilean capital, where there are many options for high altitude ascents, even over 6,000 meters, in close proximity to the city. I also regularly organize trips to the Chilean Altiplano, where there are many mountains over 6000 meters. However, the main attraction of these trips is to witness the intensity and loneliness of the Atacama Desert.

I would love to have the opportunity to share these magical moments with you and help you achieve your goals and dreams.
