Climb Pass Mountain, Day hike in the Usery Mountain Regional Park near Mesa

Would you like to climb an exciting peak in a single day? Are you visiting the city of Mesa in Arizona? Then you will have a great time on this full day hike to the summit of Pass Mountain in the Usery Mountain Regional Park.

Located just a short distance from Mesa, the Pass Mountain offers a fun and not too difficult climb. And, because the mountain is the highest point in the Usery Mountain Regional Park, the views you will get to enjoy from the summit of Mesa, Phoenix and the surrounding area, as well as during the ascent, are spectacular.

To reach the top of the Pass Mountain we will trek on the Wind Cave Trail. Throughout the trail, you will get to enjoy the lovely desert landscape.

While this trip is open all year round, trekking during the summer is a challenge, as temperatures rise as high as 105 degrees. As a result, it is more recommend to do the trek from November to March, when the temperatures are cooler. Participants, while not requiring a great deal of experience, should also be in good physical condition.
