  • Climb a beautiful 4000m peak in the Alps, without the help of a lift.
  • Take your mountain climbing experience to the next level.
  • Enjoy a 2-day climb that includes a forest, a glacier and a via ferrata!

Description

Standing at an altitude of 4,061 m (13,323 ft), Gran Paradiso, between the Aosta Valley and Piedmont, is one of the most famous 4000m peaks in the Alps. On this 2-day ascent, I will show you to its beautiful summit.

Gran Paradiso boasts an uncontaminated and wild environment due to the absence of a lift or cablecar. However, it requires strength and stamina to make it to the top. To climb Gran Paradiso, there are two different starting points: the Chabod refuge, and the Vittorio Emanuele II refuge. We will take the route from the Chabod hut.

On our way to the Gran Paradiso summit, we will go through a beautiful forest path, climb up a magnificent glacier, and finally enjoy a unique via ferrata experience. You will love the wild environment and gorgeous views.

Keep in mind that this is not a highly technical ascent. However, you will need a good fitness level and to be able to deal with altitudes. If you would like to try your hand at an easier 4000m peak, then join me to the top of Breithorn!
