Description

Around the city of Santiago there are a number of amazing glaciers. However, none are as clear and spectacular as the one found on the Cerro El Plomo (5,425m). That is why I am happy to offer this 3-day adventure that will take you to the summit of this amazing peak.

Rising high in the popular Farellones area, the Cerro El Plomo is gorgeous in countless ways. However, it is the glacier that will definitely astound you the most.

Our trip will begin in Santiago. From there, we will go to the Piedra Numerada Camp (3,150m), where we will spend the night. After that, we will ascend to the second camp of the trip, the Federacion Camp (4,100m), where we will spend the night. On the third day of the trip, we will climb to the summit of El Plomo, where you can enjoy not just the glacier, but also the tremendous views. On the final day, we will return to Santiago.

There are many routes you can take while climbing El Plomo that vary depending on your skill level. However, on this trip, we will take the normal route, which is not too difficult and will give you the best access to the glacier.

In order to participate on this trip, you should be in good physical condition.

There is something amazing, something magical about climbing up to and seeing a glacier up close. And, on this 3-day trip you will get to explore one of the most amazing glaciers in Chile, near Santiago. To join me, please send a request.

For more than 20 years I have worked as a guide in Chile. Join me and I´ll be able to show you the wonderful spots that the Andes offer to those who share my passion for big mountains.

I live in Santiago de Chile, the Chilean capital, where there are many options for high altitude ascents, even over 6,000 meters, in close proximity to the city. I also regularly organize trips to the Chilean Altiplano, where there are many mountains over 6000 meters. However, the main attraction of these trips is to witness the intensity and loneliness of the Atacama Desert.

I would love to have the opportunity to share these magical moments with you and help you achieve your goals and dreams.
