Join us as we follow the footsteps of Hillary and Tenzing on this exceptional Jiri Everest Base Camp Trek. For 25 days, you’ll walk on the classical trail which was followed by these mountaineers, trekking through gorgeous valleys, high mountain and pasturelands. Alongside this, you’ll also get to observe the culture and lifestyle of Sherpa people, a truly enriching experience indeed!
The trek will make you cross various mountain passes including the high Cho La Pass (5000 m plus), and lead to Gokyo Ri, which serves as one of the best viewpoints in the region.
We’ll begin and end the journey in Kathmandu. From there, you’ll head towards Jiri and begin the trek. Walking along the Dudh Khosi and the Khumba Khola rivers, you’ll cross the Khumbu glacier. Passing through various mountain villages of Junbesi, Puiyan, Namche Bazar, Machherma, Gokyo, Dzongla and many more, you’ll cross alpine forests to reach the Everest Base Camp to see striking views of Everest and the neighboring peaks.
The trek also includes a visit to Kala Patthar, which offers unobstructed views of the Everest. Ngozumpa glaciers, Gokyo Ri Peak and the holy lakes of the Gokyo Valley are a few of the many attractions of the trip. You’ll also visit several Buddhist monasteries and be amazed to experience the warm hospitality of the natives.
Regarding difficulty, this is a medium grade trek. So, all that you’ll require is a good level of fitness and a lot of enthusiasm to get onboard. We have also reserved a day for acclimatization, so you shouldn’t have to worry about mountain sickness. And, since we’ll be also be hiking over an altitude of 2,500 m, it is recommended that you keep yourself hydrated to remain fit.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger.
