Description
On this one-week trek through the beautiful Villarica region, we will explore the gorgeous landscapes of the area and discover the wildlife and nature of the region.
The program will follow 75km of rugged trail through Araucania forests, passing by lagoons, rivers, and awe-inspiring volcanoes. In the evenings we will sleep in pre-assembled campsites. You can find a detailed day-by-day itinerary below.
Keep in mind that we will spend long days of trekking in nature. Every day, we will cover approximately 15 km in wild terrain. Therefore, it's important that you are physically well-prepared for the challenge.

Itinerary
Day 1: Meetup and Trip Details
Equipment check and bag assembly for the different stretches of the trek. Accommodation may be in a hotel, hostel, or cabin.
Day 2: Villarica Traverse: Section 1
From Puesco to Laguna Azul, we will trek 25 km in diverse landscapes. We will set off early so that we can reach Laguna Azul in time to set up a TARP (circumstance tent) taking advantage of the terrain and the forest.
Day 3: Quetrupillán volcano summit- Paraíso Escondido
We will explore 20 km of diverse landscapes that will take us to the Quetrupillán Volcano summit. We will set up camp in the Paraiso Escondido sector where we will change clothes, and have access to a bathroom. Dinner and equipment prep for the next day.
Day 4: Mocho Mountains – Chinay
We will explore 16 kilometers of mountainscapes and araucaria forests. We will see the beautiful Villarrica Volcano in front of us.
We will set up camp in the Chinay sector, enjoy a mountain dinner, and prepare for the next day.
Day 5: Pichillankawe - Glacier crossing - Geometric Hot Springs
After a 20 km hike through forests and volcanic moraine, we will reach the Pichillanc awe Glacier. From there, we will begin to descend towards the Geometric Hot Springs to take a bath and rest. Food and accommodation in a tent or cabin.
Day 6: Valley of Fire – Pucón
From the hot springs, we will hike through 30 km of exuberant vegetation, on the way, we will encounter traces of eruptions and beautiful views.
Upon arriving in Pucón, we will enjoy lunch in a restaurant.
The last section is optional and can be done by car if you are very tired from the previous days.
