Description
Gruyère is a region of beautiful landscapes and unique delicious specialites in the canton of Graubünden. Join me on a peaceful half-day walk and visit the Maison Cailler, a famous chocolate factory in this area, and enjoy a program suitable for everyone.
Chocolat is a very important part of Switzerland’s culinary heritage. A visit to Maison Cailler, in the village of Broc, is a great way to discover how the famous Swiss chocolate is produced, and to taste some as well.
I will guide you on an easy and enchanting path, following the course of the Sarine river through beautiful gorges, in which we will discover part of the the history of these chocolatiers, enjoying the scenery of rolling green hills, lush forests and streams.
We will follow the trail of the chocolate makers that have marked the landscape and spirit of the region, that today is famous worldwide for its sublime flavours.
You need to bring comfortable footwear, some water, and a suitable outfit for the walk. The outing will take us about 4 hours in total, including the walk and the visit to Maison Cailler. You can either join a French guide or an English-speaking one.
