Description

Venture through this wonderful land with me. We’ll ski tour across some of the most iconic places in Chile. Let me guide you through several active and inactive chilean volcanoes on this 14-day trip!

We’ll  explore places like the Araucania and Los Lagos region. And visit beautiful towns like Pucon and Malalcahuello, where you’ll learn about the culture of the people that live here and enjoy their hospitality.

Also, I will take into careful consideration all your expectations, previous experiences and preferences. So the places we’ll visit and the options for accommodation will be open. So, we could stay at nice lodges, or enjoy nature at its fullest, camping in beautiful settings.

Some of the places we could visit are:

Base Malacahuello

From here we can head to the Longimay or Tolhuaca volcanoes. Or we could reach the summit of the Llaima volcano, and head down to the Conguillio National Park. Here, you’ll enjoy stunning sceneries, delicious typical food and soak in hot springs. You’ll also visit majestic towns of mapuches -the indigenous people that inhabit these lands-.

Base Pucon

At the base of Villarica, lies the bigger town of Pucon. From here we can head climb the Lanin, Villarrica and Quetrupillan volcanoes. And we can visit hot springs too. Another great thing about this region is the Avalancha en el volcán, a popular local celebration.

Base Puyehue Hut

This place is so remote, we’ll need the help of horses to reach it. But the hypnotizing views you’ll get here are completely worth it! Ever thought about skiing into a crater? We can do it here, as well as several faces of the Puyehue volcano! After a couple of nights exploring this amazing place, we can head to the volcanoes of Casa Blanca and Osorno.

So send me a request and explore one of Chile’s wildest places! You can also check out this Heliskiing trip in Portillo.

Mountain Guide

My family brought me to the mountains of Portillo in the Andes, when I was barely 15 days old and I've been hocked ever since. Going there every year I´ve met great skiers and mountain people from all over the world and I was inspire by the adventure stories that brought them to these mountains. In my twenty’s I set out in search of that lifestyle, moved to the mountains and have been skiing and mountaineering ever since. Now after years exploring in the Andes and Patagonia, these are some of my favorite trips. Join me for some epic times!

Certified Ski and Mountaineering Guide and instructor of the Chilean Mountain Federation www.dt-feach.cl and technical comity member. Since 2005 I’ve guided multiple expeditions to Mount Aconcagua, Ojos del Salado and many others that include 19000ft mountains, ski ascents and moderate alpine climbs, where I organize and take care of every detail for my own groups and sometimes for friends companies. Since 2004 I’ve guided heli-skiing in SkiPortillo and now in Third Edge Heli from Santiago and Farellones. Started in 1998 ski Touring with friends and then helping senior guides with their groups and been guiding my own clients since 2004, teaching skiing and guiding small groups.

What people are saying about Explore-Share

Man

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Maxine

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Valeriya

You’re simply the best!!! :))) Explore-Share made everything easy and stress-free. Will definitely use again.

Joshua

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Cami

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
