If you want to progress on your skiing abilities, this 5-day ski touring course in Chamonix is the perfect way to do so! Get ready to be amazed by the immensity of Mont Blanc and to become a better off piste skier.
Chamonix and its surroundings, including Les Aravis and the Aiguilles Rouges, offer extensive and varied terrains for ski touring. During this trip, you will discover glaciers, hidden valleys, alpine fields and dense forests. Moreover, in each terrain, you will learn different skills that will allow you to practice this exciting activity safely.
The aim of the course is to help you improve on your off piste techniques so that you enjoy great daring descents! Though you don’t have to be an expert to join in, it is necessary that you are a competent skier. In addition, I strongly recommend you arrive at least a day before the course starts, so that you can do a warm up ski day.

First, we will meet at the Flegere cable car station (Aiguilles Rouges).
Then, we will head to Col des Dards (2790m).
We will practice with skins and ski crampons. We will also learn essential skills of transceiver, shovel and probe use.
We will head to Col D’Entreves (3527m) and the Vallee Blanche.
Then, we will practice skills for skiing on glaciers. Also, we will use harnesses and crampons.
We will put our skills to practice in the Grand Montets ski area.
Stay in Argentiere Hut (2771m).
We will ascend Le Col du Tour Noir (3535m) via the Amethystes Glacier putting into practice all the skills learnt.
Then, we will ski back down and into the Grand Montets ski area.
First we will ski in Col de la Cicle (2377m) or the Col de la Fenetre (2245m). Then we will pass Notre Dame de la Gorge and end up at the ski area.
The rest of the day will be spent skiing and brushing up on transceiver skills.
