I’m happy to guide you on this high mountain trek of 4 days through the Central Massif of Picos de Europa. We’ll spend 3 nights sleeping in the Collado Jermoso, Cabrones and Urriellu mountain huts. A really exciting adventure in the heart of the Cantabrian mountain range, Spain.
The starting point of this magnificent 4-day trek will be Fuente Dé, a town of Camaleño in the autonomous community of Cantabria. From there we’ll hike to the Collado Jermoso Refuge, the oldest hut in Picos de Europa located in a really beautiful place in front of the Torre del Friero.
On day 2 we’ll walk 9 km to reach the most inaccessible refuge of the trip: Cabrones Hut, located at 2034 meters of altitude. Our goal for the next day will be to ascend to the refuge of Urriellu through the Camburero canal, following the steps of the Cainejo and the Marqués de Pidal.
Finally on day 4, we will leave from Urriellu towards the Jou sin Tierri and Jou de los Boches to cross to Horcados Rojos, where we’ll have lunch at Cabaña Verónica. It’s a curious refuge built from the remains of an aircraft carrier. The final descent to Fuente Dé can be done by walking along the Jenduda channel or in the cable car if our legs have no more strength.
It’ll be a 40-kilometer-long trek discovering the most outstanding spots of the Central Massif of Picos de Europa. Of course it’s a physically demanding adventure only suitable for those with a strong fitness condition.
It’ll be my pleasure to be your guide in such an amazing hiking experience. Please contact me now by clicking on the green button. Send your request so we can plan this fantastic adventure in the Central Massif of Picos de Europa together!

Always thinking of new and different activities, the routes I propose are not limited to walking through beautiful places... you will remember the experience for life!
With a degree in Digital Journalism, I try to organize innovative programs that value local resources and traditions.
I can not conceive the mountain without friends and I believe that there is no better experience than a bivouac under the stars.

I’d highly recommend Picos de Europa, and especially Andrés as guide. Beautiful scenery, authentic rural life and serious hiking. Andrés was really great - very helpful and fun. Don’t miss visiting his friend, Ana, in the village - best cabrales cheese and conversation guaranteed!

Excellent. Guias de Picos guided us in his last trip because he will take new post in Switzerland. He did very good job. We all enjoyed the hiking although heavy rain in first day.

We spent a great weekend in the mountains. We had pending the ascent of Urriellu peak, and on the summit, we improvised a wedding ceremony for our friends. The next day the guide made the wonderful choice of taking us to Boru peak. We were very well advised from the beginning, before and during the trip. There are thousands of things to do in Picos de Europa, so I'll be back for sure!

Andres was the perfect guide, very accommodating and made the trip fun. Some of the trails were challenging but Andres motivated us and kept us safe throughout. We learnt a lot about Picos de Europa and stayed in some fantastic places. Would recommend to book with Andres.
