I will lead you on this fun, challenging and brilliant 7-day cat skiing adventure through the remote lands of Kuznetskiy Alatau, near Priiskovoe in Siberia, a place where the scenery is breathtaking and the snow and conditions excellent, as the extremely cold climate and relative absence of people make for a cat skiing dream.
The Kuznetskiy Alatau is a mountain range located in the South of Siberia, and its vast lands of mountain peaks, valleys, lakes and fields seemingly stretch on forever, with a wide variety and diversity of flora and fauna also present. The nearby village of Priiskovoe was previously a mining community, and is now a popular hub for freeride and cat skiing.
We begin the trip by flying in to Krasnoyarsk from Moscow, and then transferring to our base at Priiskovoe.
Over the subsequent 5 days we will head out each morning and cat ski in different spots around the mountain range, each with unique characteristics and astonishing landscape, scenery and terrain.
The fresh powder and unspoiled slopes we will ski on are truly a dream, and as you breathe in the fresh, crisp, cold air and look out over the sweeping panoramic views of the vast valleys you will never feel so alive.
There is also an opportunity to see some of the wildlife that inhabit the area such as sable, rose deer and capercaillie, and the multitude of lakes, creeks and streams are a lovely sight.
We finish on day 7 by heading back to Krasnoyarsk and then Moscow, weary and happy that we were able to ski around this distinctive, special, and underrated part of the world.
Cat skiing in the Siberian wilds is a one-off experience – book now to enjoy the thrill!

Mountains and work in the mountains are major part of my life. I am an IFMGA mountain guide as well as a member of the Kyrgyzstan Mountain Guides Association (KMGA). I started my career in 2006 and it was a logical extension of my mountaineering activities. I organize ascents, ski-touring and free ride programs for my clients in the Caucasus
(including Krasnaya Polyana), Pamir, Tien-Shan, Siberia, Ural, Kola Peninsula. I have climbing experience in the Alps, Alaska and the Chinese Pamirs.
I am a certified mountain rescuer. My priorities are the client's safety along with the success of the ascent.
