Oscuros de Balces is a river canyon in Sierra de Guara, Spain. This hidden spot is an amazing destination for canyoning. Join me for an unforgettable water adventure!
Sierra de Guara is a mountain massif lying 25 km northeast of the city of Huesca, Aragon. A number of rivers flow through the area cutting the range with stunning gorges. Oscuros de Balces is one of the secret gems of the region, offering stunning jumps, drops and turquoise water pools.
This canyoning trip starts at the bottom of the Rio Isuala valley, bordered by high cliffs. After crossing a chaos (pile of large fallen rocks) and an 8-meter rappel, we will follow some small downclimbing passages, slides, and optional underwater passages. The highlight is a unique narrow descent to an open wide pool.
The obstacles are relatively easy, which makes this outing perfect for family groups and children. However, you all have to be physically prepared as we will have to complete a 1-hour hike to reach the canyon.
So, if you are up for this canyoning adventure in Oscuros de Balces, please contact us. We can spend one or several days in this gorgeous area of Sierra de Guara!
