Picos de Europa and the Cantabrian Mountains in Spain are mostly famous for their mountaineering, hiking and skiing possibilities. However, the area is full of gorgeous canyons perfect for the warmer months. Join me for a spectacular canyoning adventure in one of the following beautiful places:
Ajan Canyon: located close to Santander in the Pasiegos valley. This canyon is perfect for beginners or intermediate canyoners. It offers jumps, rappels and slides.
Chorretones Canyon: close to Ramales de la Victoria. Perfect for beginners or for a family-friendly experience.
Navedo Canyon: this is probably one of the best canyons in the area with a complete and challenging descent.
Yera II Canyon: another easy canyon in Vega de Pas. It offers several rappels, a small jump and slide.
Other possibilities include the Argumedo, Cicera, the Calera Gorge and the Rubó Canyon.
All the possibilities in Picos de Europa and Cantabria are spectacular. Just let me know your previous experience, if any, your expectations and how many days you wish your itinerary to be, and I’ll organize a fantastic adventure for you and your group.
So send your request now and book your place! I’ll be happy to guide you on a unique canyoning adventure in Spain!
I also offer other adventures in Spain such as this ski touring adventure in the Pyrenees and this canyoning trip in the Basque Country and Navarra.

Mountain Guide
AEGM Mountain Guide from Spain
Passionate for mountains since I was a kid, at 14 I started climbing in Atxarte (Vizcaya) walls, thanks to some friends. Later I discovered other activities such as canyoning, skiing and ice climbing, which allowed me to enjoy mountains both in summer and in winter.
I travelled around Europe, USA, India, Peru, Marruecos, among others, with the excuse of climbing some peak, wall, or doing some canyoning.
I've been a member of the 'Young Alpinists Technification Team' of the Basque Mountain Federation, and after gaining experience in all mountain disciplines I left behind my job as electronic technician to become a guide in order to pass on my passion and knowledge to others.
