The famous Appalachian trail is one of the longest hiking trails in the world. Stretching over 3,500 kilometres, this amazing trekking route is visited by millions of people very year. And while you obviously won’t get to see the whole trail on this full day snowshoeing trip, you will get to see a small, but beautiful portion of it, near the wonderful Canopus lake, in the state of New York.
With crisp winter winds and snow draped landscape, the roughly 8 kilometre stretch that we will guide you along will give you the chance to see some wonderful natural scenery. And because we will be travelling at a leisurely pace, you will have plenty of time to enjoy that scenery. We will also stop at various points along the way as well. Hence giving you the chance to see the Canopus Lake and portions of the Appalachian trail from different vantage points.
The trip is also not that difficult. As a result, you do not have to be an expert in hiking or snowshoeing to participate. However, you should be in good enough physical condition to finish the 5 mile hike.
The Appalachian trail is a must for any hiking enthusiast. And whether it’s the summer or winter season, trekking along the trail is a memorable experience. And on this full day snowshoeing trip, we would like to guide you along a small part of that trail, culminating in the beautiful Canopus lake.
So send us a request, and let us guide you. The scenery, the serenity and the trail await.
