Bugaboos 2-day rock climbing trip, British Columbia

Join me for 2 days of rock climbing in the Bugaboos mountain range, in British Columbia, enjoying exceptional granite walls and breathtaking views.

The Bugaboos are a range in the northwestern extreme of the Purcell Mountains, in the Columbia Mountains. Also, they lie within Bugaboo Provincial Park. The nearest towns are Golden and Radium.

I particularly recommend this 2-day trip not only because it is a famous spot in Canada, but also because of the quality of the granite walls. Besides, there is something for everyone here, from beginners to experienced climbers.

We will enjoy 2 days of rock climbing on spectacular granite spires, towering in the middle of beautiful glaciers. Most of the time, we will have to travel across the glaciers to access the climbing routes.

We have two accommodation options: we can either sleep in the Kain Hut, with room for 40 people, or we can camp at Applebee Camp Site. In this case we would trek up the moraine, above the hut. It would be a 30 to 40 minutes walk.

From Bugaboo Provincial Park parking lot, there is a trail that climbs and takes us straight to the Kan Hut. It will take us about 3 hours.

Also, if you wish so, I can hire a porter. He could carry some gear and our food to the Kain Hut or to the camp, depending on your desired trip duration. This way the hike would be less strenuous.
