Join us as we explore the Lower Town of Quebec City on bikes for half-a-day. We’ll ride on a scenic trail along the striking Saint Lawrence River. It will be enticing to see the architectural marvels which date back to the 17th century and also learn about the intriguing history of the city.
We will begin from the oldest district of Quebec City where you’ll see well-preserved ancient buildings and monuments from the 17th and 18th century. Most of the streets are cobbled here, so it will be fun to cycle. From there, we’ll continue along the Saint Lawrence River. You will learn about the history of the very efficient seaway system alongside enjoying spectacular views on the way.
Next, we’ll head towards Cap-Blanc district which lies at the bottom of Quebec’s headland. You see multiple staircases here which were built to climb up to the Upper Town of Quebec City.
The route further leads to two beautiful parks, the Victoria Park and the Cartier-Brébeuf National Historic Site. You’ll reach there cycling along Saint Charles River. We will stop at numerous points to click a few pictures before we end this trip. It will be a truly enriching and enjoyable experience.
