This 8 day expedition in Bernese Oberland can be considered a higher altitude version of the famous Haute route that runs from Chamonix to Zermatt. As a result, particularly in the month of May, the quality of the snow will be superb. Hence making the descents even better.
We will be staying in different huts throughout the trip. Each hut, from the Konkordia hut to the Finsteraarhorn cabin, offers it’s own unique experience as well as views. All of the huts are very comfortable and warm. Thus giving you the perfect place to rest and recuperate following a long day of splitboarding.
The sights on this trip are tremendous. You will get to see, up close, some of the most famous peaks in the Bernese Oberland area. Those peaks include Monch (4,107m), Jungfrau (4,158m) and the Finsteraarhorn (4,274m).
Due to the altitude of the areas we will be visiting, and the amount of time we will be splitboarding each day, participants should be in good physical condition. You should also have some prior experience splitboarding in mountainous conditions as well.
Bernese Oberland is an amazing region in Switzerland. The air, the views and the snow are terrific. And if you want to spend 8 days splitboarding in this wonderful place, all you have to do is send me a request.
