Belvédère snowshoeing day in Mercantour

On this opportunity, I would like to invite you to a snowshoeing hike across the woods to Belvédère. The commune is in the Alpes-Maritimes department, in southeastern France, just above the beautiful Vésubie river.

On the hike, we’ll depart from the village of Les Blancons and follow the tracks of the wolves through a snow-covered forest. The landscapes will be stunning and we’ll get to see some of the surrounding mountains, such as Vacherie de Férisson and Valette de Prals. Then, we’ll reach Belvédère, from where we’ll contemplate fantastic views of the river. I’m sure you’ll love it!

Please, take into account that it’s important to have a good level of fitness for this trip. We’ll face an elevation gain of 600 meters during the ascent and reach an altitude of 2,000 meters.
