With a place as beautiful, vast and incredible as Bariloche, you could spend weeks exploring it, and still want more. However, even if you only have a single day, you can still have an amazing time. And on this full day splitboarding trip, I would like to help you do just that.
There are a number of amazing areas in Bariloche that are ideal for splitboarding. A few examples include Cerro Lopez, the Frey area, Cerro Catedral, Baguales and many more. But because this trip is for one day, we will discuss prior to the beginning of the trip what kind of experience you would like to have. And based on what we have discussed, as well as your abilities, and weather and snow conditions, I promise you will have an unforgettable adventure.
Bariloche, like virtually all of Patagonia, is a wild area, and despite there being several resort areas, the region is still relatively untouched, particularly its backcountry areas. As a result of that wildness, the slopes and encompassing terrain, can pose some challenges. With that said, participants on this trip should be in good physical condition. They should also have some previous splitboard touring experience.
Visiting Bariloche in Argentinean Patagonia is a dream come true for anybody who loves the outdoors. And even if you only have one day to enjoy it, you can still have a great time. All you have to do to have that experience is send me a request. I would be happy to guide you.
Do you have more time and want to see more of Bariloche? Then come and join me on this incredible 12 day splitboarding adventure.

Mountain Guide
I was born in a very remote area of northern Argentina which gave me a special appreciation for the outdoors. When I was 16 my family moved south, closer to the mountains, and I started to climb in the Andes. I've been mountaineering – trekking and climbing – ever since.
I've traveled and climbed throughout Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, the USA, Canada and Europe. I spent two summer seasons working in Aosta, Italy where I completed numerous ascents and climbing on the area.
At some point in my younger years, my career path steered me to the telecommunications industry, scaling towers and fixing cellular systems. But the mountains were never far away and I eventually returned to my roots and become a mountain guide since 2001.
In the winter I focus on being a ski guide around the mountain range and also the volcanoes, this is how I spend part of my time on the winter seasons as well as teaching backcountry ski and avalanche awareness courses.

Lucas was an incredible guide! Was always on time to pick us up and even helped us grab snacks and other items in town on our way back to the hotel. But more importantly he was a great guide, who always knew exactly where to go to get the soft snow as the sun hit different parts of the mountain. He provided helpful tips for touring and made sure we skied nearly all of Catedral. I highly recommend Lucas whether you want amazing resort or backcountry skiing.
Lucas took care of every detail and made it seamless and easy. Calm, confident, knowledgeable and connected. Everyone seemed to know and respect Lucas. Without any hesitation whatsoever, I HIGHLY recommend him.
Excelent trek to Laguna Ilon
My husband and I have been on many incredible hikes all over Argentina with Lucas as our Guide. He has taken us to the most phenomenal places and pushed us (willingly) to our limits whilst at the same time always feeling very safe knowing that he is such an expert and highly qualified mountaineer. We have crossed glaciers wearing crampons as the sun rises, we have climbed volcanoes that we thought would never be physically possible, and Lucas has been fun and entertaining along the way. He jas great judgement - the tripas are planned and amended along the way in order that you can totally disconnect from everyday life. Every trip also contains interaction with local people and so we have learnt a lot about Argentinean culture and Argentinean people. Georgina and Rob Smart - England
Have recently hiked up Mt Tronador with Lucas as a guide. The rest of the team and I were very happy to have him guide us. He is very professional and experienced, yet also very attentive and friendly. Would definitely consider hiring him again for our next adventure!
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
